His loving parents raised Farhan in a nurturing yet disciplined household, and he was passionate about playing cricket from a young age, especially in his hometown of Charsadda. After having moved to Peshawar and joining the Gymkhana Club, he trained consistently until he appeared at the Under-19 level, wherein he earned his first-class debut for Peshawar in 2016-17 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy on 1st October 2016. 

However, his breakthrough came in 2017 when he played for the Pakistan Cup, and had been Balochistan’s leading run-scorer with 331 runs in 5 matches, including a century and four half-centuries.
