Jacob Bethell career in cricket began on 20th June 2021 when he played Warwickshire Twenty20. He signed a three year cricket contract with the team on January 2021. Many players from England called him “the best 17-year old”  which proves his skills as a cricketer. In 2021 he also made debut for List A in One-Day Cup. This match was played against Glamorgan at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff on 22 July. Jacob joined first class cricket on 12 September 2021 at Headingley, for Warwickshire against Yorkshire. The match took place at County Championship. This was Jacob’s work in domestic cricket, now let’s take a look at the not so long career of him in international cricket.

Jacob’s entry in international cricket was for England under-19 cricket team in September 2021. The series was faced against West Indies. He was also named vice captainfor the 2022 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. in this match he scored 88 runs from 42 balls. This was the quarter final match that was played against South Africa. He was also selected for England U-19s to play against Austalia Under 19 team. At this time Jacob was coached by Michael Yardy.
