Squad Analysis against men T20 World Cup 2026 Opponent Squad
The Indian team uses Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma as opening batsmen to counter South Africa’s fast bowling attack which includes Jansen and Rabada during powerplay overs. The Indian team needs to achieve over 60 runs during their initial six overs to eliminate South Africa’s fast bowling advantage.
The “Mystery Duo” of Varun Chakaravarthy and Kuldeep Yadav serves as India’s hidden weapon for the matchup against West Indies. The West Indies team faces difficulties when facing mystery spin bowlers because the Indian squad is designed to restrict their scoring during middle-over periods.
On slow tracks like Chennai (where India plays Zimbabwe on Feb 26), India’s depth of all-rounders (Axar, Sundar, Dube) gives them the advantage. The team can field three to four spin bowlers while maintaining their batting strength.
India’s clinical victory against Pakistan demonstrated the team’s superior bowling abilities. The team used Bumrah’s fast delivery and Axar’s accurate throwing ability to defeat Pakistan’s best batsmen. The team’s fast bowling approach continuously achieved wickets while compelling batsmen to make critical errors.
