Why is Noman Ali called the ‘ late bloomer’?
Noman Ali started his career in 2004 from under-19 level, he played inter-district matches for Hyderabad. For the next three years, he played more than 150 matches at both inter- district as well as inter-region level. In 2005, he was chosen to play in the PCB Patrons Trophy by United Bank Limited under the leadership of Azhar Mehmood.
He played in the team for 4 seasons until 2008 butt unfortunately did not qualify for first-class cricket and than played 10 seasons for Research Laboratory until he was picked for the KRL when took 145 wickets in 2018.
He was chosen to play for Pakistan at the age of 34 after 14 years of playing first class cricket. Due to lack of opportunities in his career, he was able to take only 134 wickets in his 11 years of first class cricket journey. He has been in the industry for 21 years and it’s been 4 years where he made his Test match debut internationally. Despite such long standing career, he did not “ make it” in his early career is the reason that he is called the “late bloomer”
